The weekend program offered by the Indian School of TeaTM (IST) in partnership with the International Institute of Hotel Management (IIHM) and Tea with Susmita (TWS) ensures a rigorous and comprehensive curriculum in the art and science of tea. Upon successful completion of the program, participants will receive a prestigious certificate issued by IIHM, IST &TWS, attesting to their mastery of tea appreciation and expertise.
Susmita Das Gupta is the first global Tea Artist from India, teaching the art of making and drinking fine tea. She specializes in conducting workshops on “Sensory Tea Appreciation” and ‘Tea & Food Pairing” . She has worked with major hotel brands like JW Marriot, Hyatt Centric & Hyatt Regency, Four Seasons, and Sheraton as well MNCs like Ford Motor Company, BCG, Mc Kinsey, Reliance, and Titan among others. She is the founder of Tea With Susmita (TWS).
Susmita is also a faculty for Tea education in some of India’s top Hospitality schools like IIHM. She is trained in Sensory Tea Appreciation & Tea Blending and certified in Mixology from Diageo International. Susmita has represented India with Indian specialty Tea at numerous Indian and international tea events and conferences.
Now, with the Indian School of TeaTM, she has embarked on a journey to bridge the gap and help create tea experts of international standards. Her vision is to elevate tea expertise to be compared to the best wine sommeliers and their knowledge of wine, thereby empowering individuals to become globally recognized tea experts.
